Estimating Co-Ordinator
- The maintenance estimating role is to survey information either desktop or site survey information and produce fully costed, detailed and accurate estimates for works completion and the successful completion of site works in line with the clients’ expectations.
- The maintenance coordinator reports to the General Manager (Possible Estimating Manager in due course)
Primary Responsibilities
- Produce fully costed, detailed and accurate estimates in line with survey information, requests for quotations or tenders
- Ensure quotes are approved / signed off by clients
- Deliver estimates for internal review and sign off within the timescales identified by the Company, to meet the customers deadlines
- Maintain strong client relationships at all levels and support the overall quality of service provision
- Undertake site surveys (if applicable), interpret plans and tender documents to produce fully costed and detailed estimates
- Work with SMT to develop sales strategy and lead generation
- Understand and remain current with industry standards
- Ensure works / projects are costed to allow their completion on time, within the client’s budgets and to the agreed Business profit margins
- Assess and adhere to all risk assessments and H&S requirements
- Ability to calculate materials, labour and overhead costs accurately
- Ability to secure new business opportunities
- Check completed works schedule with Engineers and ensure suitable and sufficient information is gathered, negating queries from Accounts Team
- Supporting Responsibilities
- Support the Planning Team as necessary regarding live jobs / projects
- Where appropriate work with and support the Planning Team with project-related client enquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction at all stages of works / projects
- Make visits to site and support
Relationships
- The estimating coordinator is an integral part of Team KKC and an organizational peer and partner of the Business.
- This role is jointly responsible for the tasks required to ensure accurate costs capacity, with agreed profit margins are maintained and met at project completion.

- Accuracy of labour estimates – planned vs actual
- Accuracy of material estimates – planned vs actual
- Right First Time Delivery – No Snagging / Re visits
