About the company

You will be working for a leading provider of high-quality office fit-out solutions, specialising in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing workspaces. With a strong reputation for excellence and an extensive portfolio of successful projects, they are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Joinery Foreman to join their team in Manchester to work on projects across the North West.

 

About the role

As the Joinery Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of joinery work on office fit-out projects. You will work alongside a small team of talented joiners & foremen, ensuring that work is completed to the highest standards and within project timelines. Your strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and attention to detail will be key to successfully delivering exceptional joinery solutions to projects ranging in value from c. £250K - £1M.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out light Joinery tasks on sites across the North West (occasional travel to projects outside of the North West will be required)
• Supervise/ manage small sites, coordinate the activities of the joinery team, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards throughout the process.
• Review and interpret technical drawings and plans to determine joinery requirements and ensure accurate execution.
• Coordinate with project managers, site managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
• Manage and maintain joinery tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring their proper use and storage.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality or safety issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Train and develop junior joiners, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a positive team environment.

 

About you

To successfully apply for this role, you will need to be an experienced Joiner with experience as a Foreman

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in joinery work, preferably within the commercial office fit-out sector.
• Proven track record of successfully leading a team of joiners and delivering projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of joinery techniques, materials, and tools.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, project managers, and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites within the North West England region.
