Rate - £260-£290/day

My client are a build and refurbishment contractor that specialise in the retail sectors. They have built a strong brand by producing quality projects all around the UK. This has lead to long lasting relationships with blue chip clients.

About the role 

They are looking for a Site Manager to oversee a newbuild element to a retail store in Wembley. The project will involve civils, groundworks, steel erection, superstructure, cladding and glazing. The project will last around 12 weeks and there is a strong possibility to move on to further work.

Day to day duties 

  • Liaising with Project Manager 
  • Driving a consistent & proactive approach to health & safety on site
  • Manage hazards & risks
  • Ensure all contractors & visitors are thoroughly inducted onto sites
  • Monitor progress of project programme, minimising risks and making sure milestones are being hit
  • Building an understanding of the project budgets to drive efficiencies
  • Oversee contractor performance
  • Produce regular progress reports to the Project Manager

You must have 

  • Newbuild experience involving groundworks, steels and superstructure etc. 
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS (black preferred but not essential)
  • First Aid 
  • Temp works supervisor 
  • PASMA
