Quantity Surveyor – Refurbishment

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Competitive Benefits Package

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting new opportunity? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality projects across multiple sectors?

Our well-established construction company, based in Newcastle upon Tyne, specialises in multi-sector refurbishment projects, including commercial, care, hospitality, hotel, retail, and leisure. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a talented and driven Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of projects, ensuring cost efficiency, value for money, and quality outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all aspects of the commercial and contractual elements of projects
  • Preparing cost estimates, tenders, and valuations
  • Conducting risk analysis and ensuring budget control
  • Managing subcontractor procurement and negotiations
  • Working closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery on time and within budget
  • Preparing and submitting final accounts and reports

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in one or more of our key sectors
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team
  • A relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
