Quantity Surveyor – Interior Fit-Out
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established contractor specialising in high-end interior fit-outs. This role is ideal for an experienced QS with a minimum of 10 years’ experience, particularly within restaurant, bar, and hotel fit-outs. A background in joinery projects or experience in the joinery sector would be highly advantageous.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple fit-out projects, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability. This position is available for an immediate start for the right candidate.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management of projects, working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting.

• Procuring subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating terms, and managing payments.

• Conducting valuations, cost analysis, and risk management.

• Preparing and submitting financial reports and cost forecasts.

• Managing variations, claims, and final accounts.

• Ensuring all projects adhere to contractual and financial guidelines.

• Liaising with stakeholders, including clients, site teams, and senior management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

• Strong background in restaurant, bar, and hotel fit-outs.

• Experience in joinery projects or a background in joinery would be ideal.

• Excellent commercial acumen and contract management skills.

• Ability to manage budgets and deliver projects within financial constraints.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

• Full UK driving licence.
